Oahu's premier viewpoint offers a wonderful (albeit windy) vista over the Ko'olau Range and the windward side of the island; it also has great historical significance. Kamehameha I drove the army of O'ahu up to this point in 1795. When opposing warriors began falling by the hundreds over the 1,000ft-high cliff (pali, in Hawaiian), the battle and the island were won.
