These two open-air baths situated in the middle of a quiet square are the famous Roman pools. Both pools are 5m deep and Latin inscriptions can be read on the wall of one of them. The water which comes from hot springs (30°C) was enjoyed by children who would throw themselves in the water in exchange for a small coin. Bore holes dug to irrigate the oasis have unfortunately resulted in the drying out of the surface water.
