De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
This archipelago of 14 islands and islets, formerly a summer watering hole for the Romans, owes much to an Austrian, Paul Kupelweiser, who owned the islands from 1893 to 1919. He planted the beautiful trees we see today, initiated the archaeological research and built the first hotels that were to prove so popular with the era's elite. The archipelago was later Marshal Tito's favourite residence. Still an official state residence, the archipelago is a listed national park.
