Former royal prison, Cádiz

De beoordeling van de Michelin Gids
Built in 1792 by the local architect Torcuato Benjumeda, the royal prison was the first neo-classical building in Cádiz and is a fine example of this style in Andalucia. The facade is preceded by a sort of arch of triumph which has four large Tuscan-style columns supporting it and is crowned with two lions flanking the coat-of-arms of the Spanish monarchy. It is now home to the Casa de Iberoamérica which hosts exhibitions and events relating to Latin America.
