The D70 ends at Bois-Court Belvedere, which boasts a magnificent panoramic view over the valley and the hamlet of Grand-Bassin, with its tin roofs shimmering in the sunlight 700m/2 296ft below. The village's only connections to the outside world are a winch, which is used to bring in basic daily necessities, and a steep footpath.
