The 27mi-long coastal Loop Road enables visitors to explore the coast of Mount Desert Island, most of which is protected by the Arcadia National Park. It boasts numerous panoramic views of incredible landscapes dotted with lakes and pink granite peaks. This is the case from the top of Mount Cadillac, Otter Cliffs, as well as from the Precipice Trail, which is only recommended for serious hikers.
