This church was built in the second half of the 12C and retains a magnificent white limestone altar from the same period. An enthroned Christ sits in the midst of the evangelists and apostles. He is flanked to the left by scenes from the life of the Virgin Mary and, to the right, by King Louis VII offering the church of Avensas to the chapter of St-Vincent de Mâcon.
