Just like the National Library and the University, the Academy of Athens was financed by the Greeks of the diaspora. It resembles an Ionic temple and is framed by two tall columns with statues of Apollo and Athena on top. Along with the other two buildings, this 19C white marble construction forms an architectural set in the Greek neo-Classical style, the neo-Hellenic style.
