In a recess of the mountain is an army of giants: tens of thousands of cedars of Lebanon, with their captivating perfume and blue and silver foliage. These survivors are scrupulously protected; since Antiquity the species has been endangered by carpenters from all over the Mediterranean. The forest is superb at flowering time, in September-October.
